PILOT TARIFF
(effective January 1, 2009)

This is a reminder that a 6% increase in pilotage rates for the Port of Corpus Christi goes into effect January 1, 2009. Enclosed for your convenience is a rate sheet with the 6% increase.

Please note that this increase is part of a tiered, 4-year rate increase granted by the Pilot Board at their meeting on November 11, 2008.  The increases are as follows:

                        6% - effective January 1, 2009

                        4% - effective January 1, 2010

                        4% - effective January 1, 2011

                        4% - effective January 1, 2012

PILOTAGE

$30.59 per draft foot for vessels trading seaward of
Harbor Bridge, plus units charge

$30.98 per draft foot for vessels trading above the
Harbor Bridge, plus units charge
Minimum Draft Charge 20 feet for all vessels

CPU = CHARGE PER UNIT
UNIT CHARGE = CPU x UNITS
MINIMUM UNIT CHARGE IS 200 UNITS

Bay Shifting Charge $23.35 per draft foot plus units charge or $831.57whichever is higher.
   
Shifting Within Harbor $480.46 plus 40% of the CPU charge or $831.57 whichever is higher.
   
Vessels Without Power All vessel movements double the usual rate.
   
Minimum Charge All movement are $893.11 except for certain vessels at Harbor Island with draft of less than 20 ft. draft and less than 300 units where minimum charge will be $695.57.
   
Detention Sailings and shifting: $297.71 per hour after 30 minutes free time. If vessel does not sail within free time detention starts from the time pilot is ordered.  For docking vessels detention will be charged starting 30 minutes after first line until pilot is disembarked.
   
  Arrivals: $297.71 per hour after first hour. If arrival is more than one hour late, detention starts from the time pilot is ordered.  Detention will not be charged if pilot is unable to move vessel due to adverse weather conditions.
   
Port Safety Radio $51.82 per movement
   
Cancellation Fee Sailing and Shifting: $446.55. Pilot office must be notified at least one hour prior to order time.

Arrivals:
$744.27 or 1/2 pilotage whichever is greater. Pilot office must be notified 2 1/2 hours ahead of time.
   
Berth Not Available Whenever a vessel is underway and must slow down because berth is not available a charge of $297.71 per hour or fraction there shall be made.
   
Transportation Fee $50.65 per movement. The transportation fee is indexed to the cost of marine diesel and will be adjusted every six (6) months to neutralize the cost of fuel. The first adjustment will be made July 1, 2009.
   
Pilot Taken To Sea For convenience of vessel or due to adverse weather conditions, the pilot shall be paid $893.11 per day, plus first class air transportation back to Corpus Christi, TX.
   
Turning Fee For vessels with an LOA of 738 feet or more $239.22.
   
Special Services The rates for any service not covered herein, including trial runs, oil rigs, shall be specified before movement. Minimum charge is $301.28 per hour.
   
Ship Over 900 Ft LOA And/Or 130,000 DWT Any vessel with a LOA of 900 feet or longer or with a DWT of 130,000 or more will require the service of two (2) pilots at double rate. Other vessels may require the services of two (2) pilots if safety warrants.
